i see your point. but how is your total on mail order tune 425? ive paid 150 for the first tune, then 50 this second time.. thats a total of 200. dyno is 50 bucks, then tune is 50, for a total of 300. but thats IF i need another tune.

anyways, i think youre right ive just already spent the 150 for the first tune so its like 450 or 50 right now. ill call and ask TSP what they think. he should be honest since he isnt really making any new money off of tuning my PCM

most of my local shops charge $125 hr with a wideband for dyno time...so thats a 75 dollar difference from what your paying per hour 75x2hours=150 difference between your price & mine. Bottom line is, and I think you can agree, is even mail tunes can add up over time...personally I charge less for tunes then your mail order tune has now become.

do you have a wide band o2 sensor and gage in the car? if not then consider that you can get them for less than 200 bucks. they really give you peace of mind as well.

you are right. normaly you shouldn't have to mess around with the 'basic' 6 psi powerdyne. it seems to be about 1 in 5 people have random problems now. i will try to remember to mention that to people who are interested in the powerdyne.

I have not had any strange problems with my setup. i have followed other similar threads but they seem to take a VERY long time to figure out the problem...if at all. i wish i could help more.

so let's see....
engine sputters when WOT....does it stutter and miss immediatly? or does it start to get funky once the rpms start to rise...abot 4000 or so? first gear will have rapid rpm increase so it will be hard to tell but maybe try to notice after the shift to second or third...when the rpms drop back down a bit...does the misfire and stutter reduce or stop for a bit?

See...i am not so sure it needs more fuel....if the car was leaning out a bit the engine would run REAL GOOD....but it would be dangerous. on the other hand one or more of your injectors could be locking up. with hptuners logging my stock injectors duty cycle reaches as high as 147% at peak WOT vs RPM. ihave not noticed any misfires though. still...147% is about 67% higher than recommended max duty cycle. without something like hptuners you will never know...but count on it that we are pushing the stock fuel rail and stock injectors real hard.

you also have 80,000 miles on the car...so the fuel pump is not brand new anymore. it could be a weak link. it is an electric unit so it's functianality and performance will degrade over time. with 80,000 miles and a big upgrade like the SC i would think it a good idea to go ahead and plan on a fuel pump upgrade.
