So, I understand there is no plug-in tuner for the 3.4... I could search that much. but what aftermarket standalone systems work with it well?

Megasquirt, I'm sure there are others out there, but that is the one that was recomended to me by a few different people.1995 Camaro 3.4 A4<br /><br />CAI,IAT Relocate

Re: tuning 3.4
Yup, I'm running Megasquirt on my turbo engine(still stock engine, just added a turbo and other supporting hardware).
It's really nice to have complete control over fuel and spark. And with a wideband O2 you can get the fuel right where you want it.Wayne<br />94 5 spd Camaro<br />Turbo/Intercooled<br /> <a href=\"http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm</a> <br /><br />Megasquirt Stand-alone EFI controling fuel/spark w/ wideband:<br /> <a href=\"http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html\" target=\"_blank\">http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html</a>

Re: tuning 3.4
Does MS really offer everything you need to run the engine properly? I wish it had more than a 2 channel batch fire for the injectors...
What about emissions, how have u favoured in emissions testing with the standalone? (provided you live in emission zones)\"Madison\" White \'91 Miata

Re: tuning 3.4
My engine runs fine. I get 19mpg right now w/ mixed highway/city driving, mixed boosting/cruising. The mileage rating from GM is 19 city.
I don't live in a county that requires emmissions testing. I passed no problem the last time I took it in. That was w/ the turbo and the megasquirt.
If you tune it with a wideband then there's no reason you couldn't tune it to pass a test provided to still had a cat. But I guess if they plug in the OBD code checker and find out the stock computer is freaking out or not present they may have a problem...
I like this explination of batch vs timed/sequential:

Granted MS isn't setup in the box to do things like EVAP, AIR pump, and EGR, but with coding experience and a little modifying it could probably be done.Wayne<br />94 5 spd Camaro<br />Turbo/Intercooled<br /> <a href=\"http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.geocities.com/Mustang732/cars.htm</a> <br /><br />Megasquirt Stand-alone EFI controling fuel/spark w/ wideband:<br /> <a href=\"http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html\" target=\"_blank\">http://home.att.net/~basic-4/2ndMegasquirt/NewMegasquirt.html</a>

Re: tuning 3.4
There aren't chips for the 94+ 3.4's becuase they don't have removable chips. They are hardwired on the board but can be reprogrammed.
MSD does make coils for the 3.4:
