I have one of these on its way. I got it off eBay for some ridiculously low price.
Provided that it actually functions, I have questions for those who use or have used it, or know a bit about it.
I read in a few threads here that it locks the speed at 110mph and prevents the car from shifting out of third gear during WOT. Is that how it really works?
Does the car's speedometer just stop at 110, yet your speed continues to increase? What about if you take it up to 120 and then floor it, will it cause the car to downshift into 3rd, causing the motor to redline?
On a straight stretch of road with no one around (near sacramento) I witnessed the speed limiter. It is like the car accelerates strong right past 115 but then hangs at 118. No fuel cutoff (thank god).
