dont forget to update your tuning writeup on that :naughty:
I figured out that its possible , but havent started research yet(dont have a reason yet too :) )
grayman, you are correct about how the MAF works , but you have to understand that this all about AFR not MAF. Simple intrusion into the system will screw AF mixture . It doesn’t have to be air only, fuel does it too, ex: higher fuel pressure (FMU ),bigger injectors, etc. Your AFR will NOT stay same, why? Simply because precision is already off. Ex: You don’t know what to put into FR vs.KPA table for injectors, you roughly know that they are rated at lb/min (that’s why nice to have flow matched inj). Fmu even worse – it doesn’t curve the way you need. Don’t forget that you have to deal with IAT (ex:CAI) , Coolant temps(160* stat) , LTFTs,STFTs, other mods, this all will screw your AFR and MAF calibration will clean this mess.
this is a key that should complete your tune. If commanded AFR = WB AFR thats all whats matter.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
