I was thinking of getting a PCM tune. Right now I only have intake and exhaust, but I'm planning on gears and LSD, so I'll eventually need a tune. I can't seem to find any programmers for my 97 3.8, are there any? And, if I did a send in tune, should I go with TSP or PCM for less? PCM seems cheaper, but is there really any difference between their tuning? Does TSP offer retunes for free? Which would you guys suggest?

    Re: 3.8 Tuning

there's tons of info out there and plenty of vendors. If your planning on future mods then I would save the few extra bucks and go with HP tuners. A little more labor intensive but it would be well worth it. I'll be getting that for mine, I got big plans for my baby.

you are not saying any SERIOUS mods that require an in person self-tune (which is better)
so I say go with TSP or PCM, whichever is best

TSP offers retunes as long as you pay shipping.

I went to the webpage. TSP is $225 plus shipping, while PCM is only $150 (after you get your $75 back) plus shipping. But, you're sayng TSP does free retunes, if you pay shipping, while PCM charges $50 plus shipping. So, I guess what it all narrows down to is whether or not I'm going to need 2 or more retunes in the future. And that I'm not sure about. I've got alot in mind for this car, but there are other things that require money, so I'm not sure how much of it all I'm going to be able to do. I was planning on going with a 75 wet shot sometime soon, and then start getting into the engine. Maybe I should just get a HyperTech programmer

Dont say that word: "hyperTech" or "chip" ever again
                its a bad word

Both TSP and PCM used to be $150 and both would give free retunes for life.
Even AFTER they stopped doing it for $150, I would email them and they would say they could make an exception. Try emailing them
