how do i scan a 95 3.4?

ok ive search and read but cant find anything....my light came on my 95 3.4
v6 and it runs sluggish before i fix it i want to scan it to help me find the problem faster...i know 95 has an od1 computer with an obd2 connector....thats where this comes in http://shbox.com/1/xraycable.jpg... i have a labtop with an obd1 scanner....i know i cant jump any connector older than 93 so...i see that tuner cat has free 30 day trials....so does anybody know of a software or way to get the 95 scanned with out taking it to some dealership?

I was able to scan my 95 blazer (same setup as yours) w/an obd2 scanner & get codes

Tech 1 adapter I believe. Tech 1 or 3 as it's called. it's usually 30 bucks.

From what I've learned, it's actually not OBD I, it's OBD 1.5, it was the transition to OBD II in 95.5 ( I believe. )

yeah/\ gm used obd1 computers with obd2 connectors in 95 to see how they worked out IIRC. pretty sure the last time my car was scanned it was a tech1 connector.

I have a 95 3.4 too and i just use an obdII scanner and use global obII settings
