I used to think that until a put a set of headers on. I pretty much have the
same mod list as you minus the converter. I know it doesn't mean much but
according to my butt dyno there was definately an improvment throughout
the rpms. I also saw less KR after the headers too.

This is just my personal experiance, but if you have the money I would
    recommend getting some.

I would suggest mods that will make the car put power to the ground more efficiently, such as underdrive pullies, an electric water pump, upgraded plugs/wires, upgraded coils, headers, ect. The headers will not give u much SOTP gains, but the power in higher rpm's will go up, same with the pullies and electric WP. Glad 2 see ur car made some decent power with the TC. I've got a 3000 stall, 2.55 str, 96.8% eff. out of my Edge TC. I've done a crap-ton of supporting mods though, no cam, so I might well be close to you in power output.

caspernicus: glad the headers worked out well for you, and I will probably install a set someday, I just have other goals at the moment. I have no kr now, though. My AFRs are as perfect as they're going to get. From what I understand though headers will make more of a difference on a cammed engine than on a stock engine, that may be why you felt such a difference.

Arctc Wolf: you should have it dynoed, see what it does. What does the rest of your mod list look like?

You need headers if you have a cam.

Go to the track without headers and then go back with headers and tell us how you picked up a couple tenths. It'll be worth WAY more than a WP pulley...which I can't even believe was suggested instead of headers.

Agreed, headers will help your engine breathe better. If you have the tubular manifolds then I can see why it would've been suggested since they already flow much better than the log type manifolds, but I think the gains will still be bigger than a waterpump pulley. Plus your car will sound a little better ;)

The gains from a waterpump pulley will be almost nonexistant except for in the very upper rpms. Headers will give you a steady gain across the entire RPM range.
