Today when I was driving back to school the accelerator basically went dead. The "REDUCED ENG PWR" light and "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" lights came on. I pulled over thinking a belt may have snapped. Nope, get back on rode and pedal's fine but SES light's still on. I pulled into the first Autozone I came across and he said I was throwing a code P1125 - "Manufacturer Contrl Fuel Metering." I drive the car the last 30-40 miles to campus and unpack. During this drive the RED. ENG. PWR. light came on again and the accelerator again felt mushy (coming out of a light, it took about 1/2 second for the car to start moving after hitting the pedal and once I pushed the pedal past about 1/2" it didn't do anything more - it was like the throttle was stuck at that spot or less). At times I had the pedal to the floor and would loose speed going uphill at 55 mph.
When I got home (just now) I searched the site and found that code P1125 is "Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) System". I assume this site is right and not the Autozone scanner. If this is the case, what do I need to do to fix the problem?
For reference, my car is a 2002 Camaro (v6 of course) with the automatic transmission. It has about 40k miles on it.
