Unfortunately they are year and transmission specific, although both auto and manual in '93 used the same PCM and the trans was not electronic so those should be interchangable.
There is only one part number listed for '93 3.4 -> 19312
'94 3.4 lists two -> 19401 for auto, 19402 for manual
I think many people here have been satisfied with the Jet modules. For most 3.8 owners however more gains can be had from retuning the PCM and there are several companies that offer this cheaply. The 3.4 only choice is Fastchip and it is more expensive.
one final question funk, if u look at the link you sent me the picture of the product looks exactly like the one that i got which you all know is the wrong one, how does that work? i thought is was a plug in thing not a chip like the picture shows, thanx
Yeah that's why they put that "Image is just a representation of part" blurb in there, that's not what the actual module looks like. If you look at the same thing for a '94 they have the same picture shown.
All the ~$250 parts are the modules, all the ~$150 parts are the chips.

I've been lurking on other forums lately for the sole reason that I've been doing this whole obd1 swap and found some nice sites to help me out with it.
You kind of "evolve" into other sites if you know what I mean, dependent upon which project your working on too, but there is always the desire to come back "home" which is cfv6 in my case.
Looking at this thread for example, I get a good laugh at where I was at 3 years ago in terms of knowledge or lack thereof. But much like you I wouldn't really know where to start on someone else's engine. I know the 3.4 and I know it well but thats about it really.
I bought one brand new for 250$ and all it did for my car was bog it down and make it run like ****.
I didn't even try to sell it. I tore it apart because i was interested to see what was inside of it. Then i threw it out and finally sacked up and swapped to obd-1
Mt. Pleasant/Wayland/Crawfordsville area. Next time you swing by this area hit me up, could take the boat out to mississippi or coralville lake. Or maybe hit up Cordova dragway.
We might be heading up again in late august ( yeah I know it's gonna be hot)
but i'm not gonna have the bird with me (no air conditioning). I'll probably take my exploder.
What's cool about the house we stay at is that it was built prior to the state lines being drawn (or so i'm told) so that if you are inside of the house you are in Iowa, but if you walk out the front door you are in Missouri ROFL
