Well, the title pretty much says what I'm looking for.
Anyone out there with a '97 3.8L 5Sp, could you please post the service tag # off of your PCM. I need to know which one I need for a direct swap into my '96.
The number I'm looking for starts with 162 and then has 5 numbers after it and is located on a sticker on the PCM on the passengers side fender.

I can look when I get home but I'm pretty sure the # is just to let you know it is for a 97' pcm , it won't tell you if it is for a M5 or A4 unless you have the Vin # of the car it came out of . Other than that you could have to have some one with hptuners flash it or have the Gm dealership flash it with the correct vin for a M5, I think it was $80.00 at the dealership.

an auto pcm will work to as long as it is flashed with a manual trans bin. I have switched it for a person before with my hptuners. Had an auto pcm and then flashed it with a manual bin and it worked just fine in his manual car
