  • tuning advice?

    I posted this in the FI section, but thought it would be more "correct" to post here and ask for advice as well. Got back from the dyno and...

    Before: 292/268
    After: 253/260

    Mods Added: 3500 stall converter & meth injection kit, descreened MAF, bosch BOV

    Numbers were SAE corrected, 70degree weather, 6% humidity.
    AF Ratio: was set to 11.5, but reading 12.5
    Advance: 10
    KR: .8 at 5600rpms
    Inj. Duty: 70%

    It was only a short tune and we didn't get a lot of things worked out and finished, MAF was maxing out etc.. but I am going back next week to mess with it some more.

    Suggestions? Comments? Advice?

    have them correct the a/f ratio difference, timing advance with the meth should be more than that, get rid of that blip of KR and you should see some higher numbers.

    Also try putting the maf screen back in and seeing if it makes a difference

      You should be able to run at least 13 degrees or more of timing. You might want to desenitizes your knock sensors. What size injector were you running for the meth kit? Also are you running boost juice?

        boost juice and 36lb/hr injectors.

        what is the typical A/F ratio i want to see with my current setup? and what are ways to get rid of KR?

          what was the size of the injector for the meth kit, was it the M2,M3 etc, to decrease your KR, I would get your A/F down to 11.5, also desentize your KR sensors.

            I don't think he has to worry about the knock sensors as it wasn't even a full degree of KR he was seeing. Yea I would try to get the A/F ratio as close to your 11.5 commanded as possible

              also does he use hptuners? If so try and get him to send you the modified bin file and then you can upload it and have everyone look it over
