ok i serched but didnt really find the answer i wanted. im looking to get another camaro i like the 93-97 look better if i go hp tuners i have to get a 97, with dhp i can get a 96 or 97. the q is which is better. more user friendly, is dhp as powerful as hptuners control wise
thx Travis
you can go with hptuners on a 96 car, but you would need a 97 pcm which are like 50 bucks from car-part.com. Also some 95 cars came with the 3.8l engine as well, that would work with 97 pcms.
dhp is reported to work with 96 fbody cars but I haven't had anyone confirm this really on here.
Supportwise, hptuners is the most popular tuner for our fbodies. Majority of the guys here and on the other v6 boards have hp tuners and are really good about helping people out with hptuners. DHP you are going to be limited to only getting help from the dhp private boards and it is harder for hptuners guys to help ya as the softwares are different.
there are quite a few grand prix guys using DHP though so there is some support from them on clubgp.com, but not to many fbody guys
I like hptuners, easy to use and haven't had any problems with it.
