98 Camaro 3.8 PCM # 16236757

Anyone who has a 98 Camaro with a 3.8 V-6 should have a PCM with this part number # Serv. No. 16236757. If you do have this PCM number, can you do me a favor by looking at your IAC valve wire connector and your EGR valve wire connector and tell me exactly what color wires are at each terminal letters. For instance your IAC wire connector has 4 letters on them. A, B, C and D. And your EGR valve wire connector has 5 letters on them, A, B, C, D and E. I need to know exactly what color wires are at each letter for each item. Your support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Tommy.

you don't need an exact 98 with that pcm and all. the wiring harness is the same for other years.

I know for sure that the PCM for the 98 Camaro with the 3.8 V-6 with this part number: 16236757, is a stand alone. If that is the case, wouldn't the engine harness also be a stand alone for this application? Thank you, Tommy.

OK, I just found my Camaro CD parts catalog. According to this catalog the PCM and engine harness for 98 Camaro with the 3.8 engine and 4L60E transmission are both stand alones. Here are their part numbers:
PCM - 16236757
Engine harness - 12177562
It may be used by other models, but for the 98 Camaro with the 3.8 V-6 and 4L60E transmission, this is it. This could be useful info for some of you out there. Thank you, Tommy.

FirebirdGT, yes, you are correct. Spending more time looking for that info would not hurt. I wanted to add in the engine harness number. I thought that this was useful info that others should be aware of. The PCM and engine harness with the part numbers mentioned in this thread may be stand alones for the 98 Camaro with the 3.8 V-6 and the 4L60E transmission, however, they are both used for other years and model GM vehicles as well.
