Last summer my cousin bought me a white lightnin performance chip of ebay.
Just wanted to know if anyone has heard of, or has used this product. I'm kind of nervous about hooking it up to my car because I know nothing about it. I dont want it to mess up my engine in any way. Any information would help. Thanks
Sam
never heard of it and it is probably just a resistor that plugs into the iat harness. That is what most of those ebay scam chips are. What year/engine car is this for?
The pics to big for the forum, I dont know how to make file smaller. But, do you think it could hurt my car if I hooked it up, just to see what happens.
Shouldn't hurt your car. But, if it is the resistor, most people won't recommend putting it on. I had one and didn't see any benefit at all from it. Other have tried it and said it may there car idle roughly. I've never heard of anyone gaining from it though, but I have heard bad about it. Like I said, it won't hurt it, so try it if you want. Worst comes to worst, take it off :P. If you do put it on, I'd recommend disconnecting your battery for 30 minutes when you do it. This way, when you reconnect it your computer will have to relearn everything, and it will maybe see more gain since it's learning everything with the chip in there. It's going to run abit rough like this for the first few drives, but like I said, it's relearning everything so give it some time. Or, just don't even worry about the thing since it causes nothing but trouble or shows very very very very minimal gains.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
