    Howdy,
I searched the forum on this before I posted. I have a chip called Speed Seeker that goes into the IAT. They say you will see up to 20HP increase. Has anyone seen or used one of these?
    Thanks,
    Lynyrd

    and you said you searched???

your "chip" is a piece, its simply a resistor, ditch it before it ruins your motor.

      yes,
I did a search and did not find anything on using one of these. Thank you for your reply. It is not on the car, just sitting in a box. Please understand that I am from the old school of the GM V-8 pre 1979. I am new to all this computer controlled stuff. Only had my Camaro 2 weeks.
      Thanks,

yea, basically anything like the word "chip" you want to steer clear from

start out with intake, exhaust, aluminum drive shaft, etc.....small stuff like that if you are looking for more power

i think with a intake and full exaust on a v6 may give you 15 hp. i would say ditch it.

its not going to ruin your motor but if you do see any power from the "chip" it will only be a couple of horse for a couple of minutes. all it does is make you computer think the air coming in is cooler than it is so the computer richens the mixture up a bit until your o2 sensors lean it back out and the computer adjusts to the new readings of your iat sensor

in most cases it will throw your fuel trims way off, causing your car to run too lean or rich, leading to KR

                Exactly.
Simple rule: if its says "chip" on it - it doesnt go into our cars period, no it doest go on any OBD-II controlled vehicle.

                  Thanks for the advise folks.
Good thing I asked. Quick note. I took those restrictive baffles out of the air cleaner lid. I see a big diff, in throttle response and seems to have picked it up at higher speeds. Great tip form another thread.
