An Rs chip mod

Ok so i just got this red rs beautiful as all you know, i have a few things on my list that i want to do to it but one of my friends suggested that i look into getting it chipped. So i found a couple websites (ill put the links at the bottom) and they are saying that it is for 1998-2002 but would it be acceptable to put a jet stage 1 chip on my car even though it says that. That chip is for a 3.8l so i dont really see what the problem would be. Also any suggestions on what kind of turbocharge i should get or where i can get it from.

pretty sure it wont work on your car, 96s are kind of a bastard year fbod. chips are a waste IMO.

look into mail order tunes.

The JET chip HAS to be made for your exact year and transmission type. If you want tuning, look at pcmforless.com or hptuners.com

makes it so you can tune your car, a couple bolts and the pcm is swapped, not that hard to do, 5-10 minutes.

nah you will lose 30 hp and not be able to go above 90mph....

well i mean i have read all these threads but all of them just keep saying the same thing some say pmcforless sucks and some say its good. I mean what should i believe, plus i don no of any dyno shops around here that can tune my car so thats out of the questions. I just need to know what to tune because everyone is saying like i want to tune my time, and what not i dont understand that. Can anyone help me and explain what to do with a pmc

i have a 98 rs and a intake, exaust, low temp thermo...

i put the stage 2 from jet in, im not lieng to you at all, there was no improvement at all. it was like switching from 87 to 89 oct. in your gas.

really thats bull **** i am just trying to find out what to tweak on the pcm or what they should adjust you knoe. What did you do so i can get some ideas. Anyone say anything i just need opinions.
