Finally got the car tuned today!

Well if you have read my post in the drag racing section you will know that i was very upset with my best time of 16.250 in the 1/4 mile.

Well i went and got a dyno tune today and found out why. My car was only making 155 rwhp! So after about 7 or 8 pulls on the dyno the guy that tuned if for me was able to pull out another 40 rwhp. The best pull that the car produced was a 192.92 rwhp and 201.1 ft/lb of torque. So needless to say i am now one very happy V6 owner. I just can't wait to see how it performs at the track the next time i go.

Timing and sal sorts of other variables. to many to list them all. he removed the torque managment. advanced timing for 93 octane. tuned air/fuel ration for the cam throughout adjusted shift points. He used HP Tuners. It took about a total of about 3 hours. the car really gets up and moves. From a roll it is crazy fast. little slow form a dig but much faster once moving! I am so happy with it! Oh ya and it shifts nice and hard now under WOT. he he he

what mods and cam in it? That is a boatload of a gain, wow. That thing needed some serious tuning

So far i have a flowmaster catback, a K&N FIPK and a ZZP GT1 Cam. Ya I was stunned as well when he pulled out that much power!

so you are from chicagoland area i live like 3 hours from chicago so where did you actually get this all done at and how much did it cost cuz im really interested i need my car tuned really bad

Mine cost me $450. Many places I looked at before picking where i went wanted $500 - 600. A couple places wanted $350 plus $100 per hour.

Simpson Performance. It's located out in Byron IL. Bout 20 min from Byron Dragway. Corey really knows his stuff. He specilizes in GM's, that was the main reason i went with him. oh ya and he used HP tuners to tune the car.
