  • narrow or wide band o2 sensor?

I am planning to install additional Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge (for example http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Autom...spagenameZWDVW) and I was wondering if my stock o2 sensor will fit for this gauge. I have read that there can be narrow or wide o2 sensors. My car is 2001 V6 Firebird, so I does anyone know what kind of o2 sensors are in my car?

P.S. some info about narrwo and wide band o2 sensors:

Narrow, and a waste of money for that gauge. Get a wide band if you are going to install a A/F gauge.

Firebirdgt is correct, I wouldn't waste your money on a narrow band air/fuel gauge. I would do a wideband like PLX or something, the price might be higher but you get what you pay for, and their also very accurate.

So the standard o2 sensors in a 2001 firebird wide band or narrow band? I mean can connect fuel/air ration guage to existing o2 sensors. Or have to add one more o2 sensor for this gauge?

The stock ones are narrowband so you can't use them for your gauge.

Stock sensors are narrow band, most people put have put a O2 bung welded in right before the CAT and put the wideband sensor in there.

Get a wideband, its worth EVERY penny. I have a PLX and love it.
