i have a 97 bird with flowmaster catback, custom intake, and performance wires and plugs. I want to get more power out of it, but from what ive seen tuners are out of my price range. Is there a chip or a cheap tuner that i could get but is still relatively effective? Is anyone selling a tuner or let me use theirs? haha not trying to sound like a perv or anything i just dont have the money to spend 300 on a tuner i live in dillsburg, pennsylvania (about 20-25 miles southwest of harrisburg)

Yep, just pay for the license for your car and drive down one day on the weekend. Pasadena, Maryland.

This is yet another reason why I don't like Toledo. No helpful people live close enough.

If you're willing to take a few hours drive I can point you to a specialty shop near Pittsburgh that'll take care of it for a good price.

The cheapest one I have seen was a Jet Stage 1 chip for $250, Its only for the automatic transmision though.

Actually nevermind, that one is a stage 2, I have seen a cheaper stage 1 for sale somewhere though.

get a mail order tune then when you have more mods then use hp tuner. zzp , pcmforless , and intense racing sells there mail order tune for about 100-150 if you send in you pcm. if you dont there is a core cost but it is still under 300

                    Re: cheap tune

PCMForLess.com - Its like $150 for a mail order tune (like SVT said). Just fill out the form with your mods n such. Its pretty damn good- but once you start porting heads and upgrading your cam, you NEED a good dyno tune and don't settle for anything less.

yea he is right about the heads and cam ........ but yea zzp doesnt have f-body section the grand prix parts will work other than the l67 ( or supercharged 3.8) things .
