I think one of my abs speed sensors is possessed.
For a while now my abs-inop light has been on, and I didn't really care. Threshold breaking is better right?
Right.
So about a week ago the brake indicator stays on after I let out the e-brake. Figuring it was a blown bulb, I put a brick on the pedal and did a walk around.
Nothing.
Last night we had a moderate ice storm; it took about 30min to get the 1/4" of ice off my windows. At this point abs would be handy huh? Well as I let out the e-brake, the indicator went off, and the abs-inop light went out as well. When I stopped at the end of my driveway the abs engaged!
Somehow this cold moist weather has fixed the speed sensor! Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, thoughts on replacing a speed sensor? How much will it cost, and how hard is it?
