I have a low oil light that comes on and stays on most of the time, i got a new one from gmdirect but i cant seem to get the original one OFF my car. The original one is a much sturdier one, seems metal, compared to the plastic feeling on i just got it. Also the new one has a notch cut out of the bolt ( see pic)
i know its gota be easy but i couldnt get it, tryed everything. the one thats in there dosnt seem to have that notch in the bolt portion like the replacement. i ended up leaving it in there and i just check my oil often. in the next 1k i have to change my oil again and i have to get it changed this time
