  • Need some info (HP/DHP)

My buddy has a BLACK 98 CAMARO 3.8 Custom Turbo setup T04E turbo with a 46mm wastegate, ported pacesetter headers, ported heads, throttle body spacer,3in. exhaust,42.5 injectors,a 2002 trans am fuel pump.

He got a PCM from Intense which was not locked and done with a HP tuner. I have a DHP Tuner and wanted to adjust his shift points and add some timing. The DHP read the PCM but when I wanted to make some changes it would not let me gave me the call DHP error. Also when I scan the car there is no O2's being recorded. I can see the LTFT's, MAF, Timing, KR, etc.

Has anyone else had this problem before?
Is there anyway I will be able to change his bin file with my DHP?
    My DHP supports V6 98-03.
I really did not want to start from scratch on the tune with his stock PCM since the tune he has is pretty good already.

    Thanks

hmm, strange. If it was not locked it should still work just fine. It does let you download the current tune though on the car?

It will let me down load the file but it will not let me see or open it. I think the OSID is not mapped to the Pt database. I am going to send a help ticket to DHP to see if they can fix it.

Does it ask for a code when you try to open it?

I actually had this problem.. It wouldn't work with my 02, but with a 99 PCM it worked perfect... weird.. said I didn't pay for support for that year or something, and I'm supposed to have the 98-03 one too.

He has a 98 PCM in the car now from Intense. On the DHP forum it has a 1.5 bin file for a 98 Camaro so I don't understand why it won't open it. When I hear from DHP I will let you all know what the problem is.
