Unless anyone here has another solution, i believe i need another throttle body as the TPS is built in. Even when accessible, i cannot find a replacement part. :(
The problem is my Throttle Position Sensor. When i am accelerating(generally hard) my car will overrev to around 5500-6000 and then shift fairly hard. It also hesitates/stalls/hunts-for-the-gear when i push for initial/additional acceleration. The other day on the interstate, it threw a code in second when it overrevved. The code came up as a prob w/ the TPS(i will have to find the code again, don't remember it) Upon scanning the car and checking the TPS, the throttle is @ 10% in park w/ key in ON. This is fairly off from the normal 2.5-5%(?). It does rise to 100% when the pedal is to the floor.
Now, the conflicting problem. I recently dropped my trans pan and replaced the fluid in the pan(DexIII) and the filter(the right filter ). Since then, the car has done what it has been doing. Coincidence?
