      Re: fan temp?

Well, I'd say 190. The Stock fan comes on at 215 or 210, i'm pretty sure it's 215, and thats a little late since it robs you of power. You don't want your fans to kick on right when the thermo opens and since your car is a 2000 it should have a 180 thermo unless you switched it to a 160 which would be kind of pointless because then the car wouldn't get warm enough to fully ignite all the fuel... I think giving the thermo 10 degrees before the fan kicks on would keep your operating temp right around your ideal 175-185 temp range...

Leave them at the stock settings, and install a fan switch. That's what I did.

You don't always want the fans to come on, even if you do live in the valley.

Not always a good thing to run that cold.

                  Re: fan temp?

Haven't had a problem in 5-6 years why would I change it now, and spend money when I already have the tunning software. The car is going to heat up no matter what. Running a 160 thermo here in AZ, the temp. is still going to heat up to around 210 when it is really hot out(this is with fans running). The most I have seen is around 210 temp on my laptop, this is when it is about 118 outside and sitting in traffic. Fans will run to help keep it cool, when it gets too hot, the high fans will come on I think at 235 or so, but I have never seen them come on before. I always run around 210 in high heat. Since the A/C is on ,the fans will automatically come on. It is a personal choice if you want to control your fans or not, I admit it is a cool thing to do and have esp. in high heat areas, but for me I'll let the computer do it for me.

yea settings will depend on the temp thermo you have.
