    Re: MAP sensor problem

I would think that's going to be a problem with the PCM. Have you tried doing a " write entire"?

      yes, still nothing.

also i was getting the p0121 code but changed my max and min to 100 and 0 so now that went away. i read a little bit on how having a cam can sometimes effect that tps 0121 code.. i could try another TPS? would a bad TPS cause the MAP to be reading a consistent kpa??

      also getting P1374.

im at a loss of what to do... here is a scan so you can see what im talking about...

        Re: MAP sensor problem

DO your scans always show long term fuel trims at -50? Your timing at -10 regardless of the RPM and MAF reading? I see allot more then just the MAP not responding. Looks like the car was idling and you blipped the throttle a few time from the TPS.

Your commanded AFR is also at 0.00.

          Re: MAP sensor problem

my fuel trims were recently reset.. that might be why they are so low.

the negative numbers for timing advance read positive (its a 97 problem you have to setup a custom PID for..) BUT they are also at a steady number... yes, another problem. i posted it in my original post.

            Re: MAP sensor problem

Fuel trims go to Zero when they are reset. Then go positive or negative as the PCM makes fueling adjustments. If they are at 50 + or - that would set a SES light and a code.

I would try a write entire flash and if that doesn't help I would suspect a bad PCM.
You might also try flashing the stock tune back in it and see if that corrects anything.

thanks ill try another write entire. the stock tune also didnt read the timing advance and the MAP. i got a PCM from vulcan something or other on the board and should have it next week to try..

i still need to figure out what this 3x reference circuit crap is.

Did you try unplugging the MAF? Any trouble codes at all?

car still wont start, but it is getting spark now. it seems to be dumping fuel. i took out the plugs and cleaned them, they were soaked! i started the car and it ran (not to well) for about 10 seconds and then cut out. looked at the plugs again and they are soaked again. what is going on?!

Is the Fuel pressure regulator diaphragm busted and letting the vacuum line suck fuel?
