PCM identification?

Hello all,

Is there a way to identify what year a PCM is? I ask because I recently ordered a PCMforLess PCM for my 1996 Camaro and swapped it out. After un-installing my old PCM, I remembered that back in 2000 my PCM was defective and was replaced (under warranty).

I'm wondering if the PCM that is now out of my car is a 97+ PCM seeing as how it was replaced in 2000.

326 is a 96' , your new one the last #'s wil be 797.

Thank you. Very useful info...I had no idea on how to i.d these pcms.

I don't feel so bad about having to order a '97 PCM now. =D
