hey just wondering what is the best option for recalibrating a speedo after a rearend swap. i have a 02 5-speed. i had my tech guy test my fuel trims and my computer is adjusting fine with all the other mods so a tune would probably not benefit me. just wondering what the popular thing to do is?

Re: Speedo Recalibration Options
Well, it's usually $90-$110 for a speedo-correction unit (Jet chip makes them, IIRC), or it's $150 for a tune ($225-$75 core charge=$150, IIRC). Your car may be running fine the way it is, but just about any car with any mods will benefit from a tune. I'd say go with the mail-order tune. Or, do like me, and wait until you've got all the major mods done you plan on doing, then go get a tune; right now I have a full bolt-on car, with cam, and running stock tune still. My speedo is off by 14.84%, IIRC, but abit of math gets me the right speed (plus my GPS has a speedometer :P)~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
