Hey guys i was looking at summit and they offer Chips for 98-02 camaros V6 Anybody know anything about them

Never ever get a "chip". That's all I can say.

Either mail order tune, or buy the tuning software (worth every penny).

Once you get it, you're stuck with whatever it's set to. If you plan on doing nothing more to your car, get it. But you can most likely get more power, options, etc from buying either HP Tuners or getting a mail-order tune.

are you talking about jet chips stage 1 and 2? Our cars don't take chips, you tune via the OBDII port on these 3.8 cars.

hptuners, mail order tunes, or dyno tunes are how you tune them

I think the power-chips are for the 3.4 versions; our 3.8Ls takes power-programmers as said earlier^

Jet chips makes a chip for 99-02 Camaros as well. Although most people end up selling them and going with HP Tuners or something similar.

So basically Save the Money Buy an HP Tuner? Also If i got a Hp tunner Will i be able to save the Stock Setup Or sumthing so i can reprogram it like that?? when i gotta SMOG the Car???

Yes you can save the stock setting. In fact it is encouraged...
