    :rant:I have this p0420 code and i've changed my cat 3x's and changed the 02 sensor last yr. Took it to advance and was told to clean the sensor, could i just have a bad sensor or how or with what do i clean it?:bs:

      how can u determine that? i change the oil like evry 3000 miles

        oil covered plugs, blue smoke from the exhaust on deceleration

          nope none of the above and ive struggled with this FOREVER!!! i could never get rid of it just for a bit but then it came recently but was if a had blue smoke which i dont that would mean oil is leaking where is not suppose to be?

            Blue smoke means you're burning oil. What brand O2 sensors are you using?

                Yeah. Bosch O2 sensors tend to not last long and don't work very well in the meantime. I would suggest you try Denso or AC Delco 02 sensors and stay away from the Bosch.

                RockAuto has them for a good price if you can't find any.

                  cool thanks im looking at the sensor never heard of denso can they be trusted dont feel like wasting more wat i have too and ac delco which one is it too many numbers confuses me

                    AC Delco O2's are nice , there is a website I posted in Gen. Tech where they are like $40 a peice.

                            Part # is in the post AFS75 for the front O2's. As long as you have the flat connectors and not the square type for the rear O2's.

                            I came across this website looking for AC Delco O2's, price seemed to be good so I thought I would pass it along, I just ordered 2 of the AFS75 for the front O2's, I was starting to get a low reading in bank 1 the drivers side, it wouldn't go past 900.
