    Howdy all,
Okay my firebrid is throwing SES code 404...
I know that this is related to the EVAP system i already replaced the gas cap with a replacement from Autozone, but to no avail this light is still the bane of my existence.

I have my chilton's but i have had no luck going any further on diagnostics.

    Please help...

Did you replace the canister already?

What's the full code? You could have a small leak too from your line.

how long has the code been on?

an ses light will stay on for 3 "driving cycles" so even if you fix the problem it might stay on for a little bit

it has been on now for another 1000 miles, still suspect cap after getting gas this morning and noticing that it is not sealing properly. Going to get cap from dealarship tomorrow.

i have not replaced the canister yet. As for the code it was just 404, i still suspect the cap after noticing getting gas this morning that it does not seal properly.
