  • Aeroforce Scan Gauge Problems

I know a few of you out there have this gauge, and I just installed mine and am running into a few problems.

I made sure the ignition was off, and plugged it into the OBD2 port. It shouldn't have powered up, but it did.
It doesn't power up with the car. I have to unplug it from the OBD2 and then replug it in to get it to start up.
It randomly shuts off. When I press a button, the two LED's up top blink once.
It's somewhat okay with turning off with the car.

It does store the memory though. All my annunciations are correct.

Now what I'm hoping is that some of you have run into these problems and have solutions.
    Any Advice?
    Thanks!

you have to take off that jumper on the back and then run +12v to it.

On mine for my 96' I have to plug it in eveytime I turn on the car, I plan on wiring a 12v. on/off switch to it since when I hooked it up to a 12v. switch it made my radio and dash lights stay on and not shut off. So for mine the only way is a on/off switch so I don't have to reach down and replug it in everytime. Other than that it has been a great gauge.

Correct, this is exactly what a rep. from Aeroforce said.

Yeah, it is an awesome gauge. I'm doing the whole plugging it in thing right now also. Soon I'm gonna run it to an Ignition 12v source, most likely in the fuse box.

I'm just going to use a switch, I have 2 switches in my ashtray that were for my nitrous so 1 is for my methanol switch and I'll use the other for the scan gauge on/off.
