I'm looking for a scanner that can read, clear, and actuate the abs system. I have a 98 3 ch. ABS 3.8L Camaro. From reading various posts and manufacture's FAQs i see that autotap and hptuners do not communicate with the ABS and can't actuate the solenoids.
Will autoenginuity with the gm enhanced? their website is...cryptic.
I thought the way to clear ABS was to fix the problem and it will reset itself after it does a self test and clears the lights. On my 96' thats what it did when my light staye on, fix the issue and it went off. Mine were the speed sensors on the front hubs so I replaced the front hubs with new sensors and it went off and has stayed off. Thats about the only problem I had with my ABS , that and having to add fluid because it got to low and kicked the light on from a loose brake bleeder.
