    Re: dynotune this weekend

thats what i was wondering, if you were gonna see what difference it made open vs. closed.

im honestly gonna say 189 rwhp and 4,000,000,000 rwtq. (if you do the trans-x thing we talked about.)

Oh I know... my avatar's a little old... I switched to the 98+ front end w/ the halos... and I never even started the car with it on, but I could already tell they added about 100 hp easy... lol...

              Re: dynotune this weekend

so after the long delay, things finally went as planned:

5 pulls and a full tune for 350, and discounted pulls for my next visit...not bad at all.

              and the results:

              185.86 rwhp
              216.12 rwtq

i was expecting a few extra ponies on the hp end of the deal, but i kept getting a slight engine knock at the peak, so 186 ain't bad at all...and the torque i was very pleased with. but the thing that blew everyone's mind is i actually gained 1hp/1tq by CLOSING my cutout----go figure---i'll still ride with it open partway though lol.

props to Disruptore4 and his friend for coming out to the shop and meeting up, he got to watch the baseline tune/pull @ 181hp/212 before we fine tweaked everything. I'll post vids after i get settled in tonight.

im just curious as to what the rates are by you. because by me im looking at about 160 pr/hr plus 50.00 per credit for hp tuners. just want to see if theirs any difference. because to me it all depends on ho long im sitting there.

                  Re: dynotune this weekend

i'm not sure how much he actually rated my pulls bc he gave me a discount, so i paid only 80-85 for all 5 pulls and the rest of the balance was the tuning.

ok... well i was just curious because theirs only two shops by me one that charges a flat rate of 750 for the camaro v6 ...which im assuming im pretty much paying for hptuners. and the other guy as i said above. im only looking into the future though so its no big. thanks though.

                      Re: dynotune this weekend

i was guessing that you would have less tq and more hp with the open cut out.

                      not bad tho!
