How do i remove the speed limiter or governer?

How do you get your car to put out what it is really suppose to? I think you would ahve to remove the speed limiter, but i have no idea how any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean by that, but to get rid of the speed limiter you have a few choices. One is to get a programer for your car such as a hypertech. Once you have put some good mods on your car you may want to send your PCM off to have it customed tuned, where they can also reset your limiter. And last, if you know anybody that works at a GM dealership them ask them to reset it.

I also have been looking for options for removing the speed limiter. I found this post in a search i was doing.

Whats the best way for a 1996 Camaro. Do I have to update my ECU to a 1997+?

Whats the deal? and if a newer ECU is needed thats fine, but what programer or software is the best/lowest cost???
