I was reading vipers guide to fuel injector tunning http://www2.turbov6camaro.com:443/inj.htm

I have mine set to 36 across the board...I have a feeling this might be one of the reasons why my maf calibration table isnt working out 100%...and why I'm close to my afr at some points, then dip out 1afr in other parts....

How can I tune this...this guide is a bit confusing...I have been looking for my fuel pressure regulator info on hp tuners can cannot find it...how can I find out what my current flow rate is, and what it is at WOT througout that MAP table?

    Re: fuel tuning

My 36lb injectors flow at 33lbs on our cars. Mines set at 33.?? then I just have it smoothed out up to 34.?? . My PE ie 0.300 from 3200 RPMS to 6000 RPMS and in winter I lower it to 0.100 or 0.000 and it is fine. LT's at -4,-2 to +2,+4 works well. I have my A/F vs ECT at 12.4 or 12.5 I for get, But I haven't had any problems except running 26-27 degrees of timing which I think is heating up my coolant system. But it pulls like crazy and have no KR so I just hope adding a bigger radiator and a 10" fan pushing infront of the intercooler for extra air going into th radiator. My car has always like different fuel injector table, maybe becuase of the heat I live in it works better, I don't know , but you might want to check out scaling your injectors better than just putting one number all the way across. Good luck.

      Re: fuel tuning

thats what I want to do is scale them...but apparently there is something you can scan for that will give you the fp in each map cell, and then you can input your proper numbers....

        Re: fuel tuning

so incase anyone was wondering the same thing I was...the answer lies in you need to make a user defined table...click one of you histograms that arent being used...hit the settings button, clear everything...go to "table" and select fuel pressure....

okay...I take that back...the histogram wont work when I go to scan the car...do I need buy a seperate sensor in order to find out my fuel pressure?

What are you trying to tune? part throttle or wot?

              Re: fuel tuning

I'm trying to get my injectors dialed in rather then just having them set at 36# right across the board...I know they flow differently under different conditions...the table ranges from 10-100 kpa...I want to dial that in properly

                Re: fuel tuning

As long as the ifr table is close you'll be fine.

I asked about part throttle because it will always fluctuate a little no
matter how much you tune the maf.

If it's off at wot, then you need to scale your maf at the corresponding
                frequency.

You know your idle/wot fuel pressure and map reading. So if you're
that worried about it you can assume a linear increase in fuel pressure
as the map reading increases, and scale them that way.

how do you find out the idle and WOT fuel pressure though? this is what I can't find?

                    Re: fuel tuning

Hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the fuel rail...
Tape it to the windshield to get your wot fuel pressure.
