            Re: wideband question

Our cars have no way of reading a wideband sensor on the stock PCM. SO no factory plug on the car will have any way of connecting to a wideband since, there are 5 wires on a wideband sensor. Stock o2 sensors have 2 wires.

You need a separate Module of sorts to read what a wideband sensor sends, AEM, PLX, LM-1 etc.. And those are a little costly. The sensor itself, like the popular Bosch LSU4.2 in particular costs around $80.00.

Your PCM will never read and use a wideband o2 sensor. They are used for tuning and are only helpful with programs like HP tuners. You can however log the wideband signal to HP tuners, which is what everyone whom tunes does.

            Any questions so far?
