So my summit high flow cat went bad last night. Just put it on from stock one not even 2 years ago but sense i rebuilt motor passenger side 02 is tripping but only when i get on it in high rpms. Besides that i also had to take off egr still waiting on new hose to come in mail broke it installing it on headers. So i guess that caused cat to go bad so i just gutted it and someone was telling me about a o2 sensor satisfier i can plug into exhaust bung then plug o2 sensor in that and it will bypass it and not trip pcm... any ideas?

Re: Gutted cat need to satisfy oxygen sensor.
just to let you know, hp tuners doesnt give you a new computer, its just a program to reflash over your stock computers tune, if you plan on going with hp tuners might as well save the money and not buy an 02 sim

Found simulator... no only reason not getting from hptuners right now is because i leave for army in few months when i get back i have bigger plans for car. Just simulator looks like bit confusing to install, maybe its just trying to the read instructions that look hard lol.

Re: Gutted cat need to satisfy oxygen sensor.
Main reason i want simulator is because i was reading up and some articles say that if rear o2 sensor is tripped it will actually hurt gas mileage and throw computer through a loop not too worried about check engine light thats been on no egr and something wrong with upper o2 sensor

Re: Gutted cat need to satisfy oxygen sensor.
.
i see a major issue here.....
he says it is throwing a code for the passenger side O2 ... a sim is definitely not the solution for this problem ... you probably need to replace the O2 sensor... or you may have a leak somewhere before the o2 sensor...
the sim is for the post cat o2.....

Re: Gutted cat need to satisfy oxygen sensor.
Bigbrian is the only one that has any clue about what's going on. OK, here's the rundown. Your post cat o2 sensor monitors the effect of your cat. Since there's not a change really it's tripping the ses light. That's all it does. It doesn't monitor your A/F ratio and make changes to your fueling. The only effect it will have on your car is that your SES light will be lit.
An o2 sim install is as easy as it gets. Just unplug the post cat o2 sensor and plug in the sim. Maybe wire tie up any loose wires, like the post cat sensor plug.
Yes, the code that it throws says something like sensor 2 bank 2 whatever. It's the post cat sensor. You can run your car absolutely fine but the SES light get's annoying and you won't notice a change if something else were to really happen to require the SES light. That's the basic need of a sim.

i agree that the sim would fix the post cat o2 problem ... but he said it is throwing a code for the passenger side o2 ... i was just pointing out that you cannot fix that with a sim
