where to run wire through firewall

I want to hook up my amp from my battery but is there already a hole I can run through or what ? I have a 600 watt kicker and a ten inch kicker sub in a stealth box , also what kind of wiring do I need ? Thx in advance

behind the pcm there is a rubber peice to cut and run it though there as for the wire.... not sure

I know this is a dumb question but I don't know what my pcm looks like can any one post a pic or a pic of where to run the wire ?

back passenger side of your engine bay, looks like two metal plates held in with a bolt in the center of each plate

you can unbolt the plastic piece and move the whole pcm box and get to the rubber grommet jeff was referring too

no to remove the pcm and get behind it. as for the grommet just cut a hole the size of your wire in it and just feed it thru

If the pcm hole doesnt work out for you ive made a couple holes on the driver side, little below the power break booster it comes out above the panel in the drivers side above the pedals. as for the wire i guess i would use something like 14 awg. if your goin through the trouble to run it from the battery, might as well do it big and give it a great feed. good luck!

on mine i had a Rubber grommet like thing in a hole that was on the passenger side. its to the left of the red circle in the picture kinda down there. Im not sure if thats what you guys are talking about but its hard to explain. Id take pictures but its dark.

p.s. - I had to use some of that fish tape for electrical work. its a long piece of rigid plastic u feed through the hole, take the wire your pulling onto it the pull it through. EXTREMELY helpful troughout my experiences working on electrical devices in this car :rolleyes:

i fit mine through the hole in the firewall around the brake booster

for me i liked using the grommet because as you can see in the picture you can run the wire in the loom and not have to cross the engine

I would suggest something bigger then 14ga, might as well plan for the future and cost difference is not that great. I would go with 10 or 8ga.

I just used a long screwdriver pushed through from under teh dash taped the wire to it and pulled it through the grommet. Fishtape would also work, or one of those wires used to hang drop ceiling from works great and only few dollars at home depot.
