I narrowed my choices this time to Kenwood and Pioneer because I wanted red illumination to match the dash lights.
Decided on Kenwood because of a really sweet deal.Comment

i like pioneer head units, alpine speakers/ subs ( all type r or better tho) and rockford amps... pioneer head units accually have the highest outyput watts of 22x4 rms too tho the rest run 20x4, jvc accually runs 18x4 rms if i remeber correctlyComment

So I finally fiinished my stereo upgrade.(for now anyway). I haven't changed the monsoon deck yet and I truthfully don't know if I want to. I really like the equalizer controls and it already has a cd player. I ripped out the rear sail speakers and installed a pair of Pyle Driver Pro Mid Bass speakers.Which I had to get spacers for because they were much deeper than my stock ones. The crappy part was I didn't find out untill I tried to drop the top !!! : ( After I had those all straightened out I could really hear that my front speakers were blown. It was a tough choice for the fronts but I ended up putting in the Alpine's Type S Coaxials . It sounds soo soo soo much better now. For less than $150 it's definitely the best upgrade I've done to the Firebird so far!Comment
