  • Kenwood Sub Controller not powering amp off?

I have a Kenwood unit and a 600w Sony amp powering 2 12's. The subcontroller works on the head unit, but it will not power off the amp, draining the battery.:(
The power for the amp is coming straight from the battery.
    1. Can I power the amp from somewhere that has key control?... If so, where do you suggest?
    2. Do I have to put in a switch?... I really do not want to, just in case my son forgets to turn it off.
    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The amp power runs straight to the battery. The sub controller from the Kenwood is hooked up to the amp controller. What should be hooked up to the amp controller?

Is there an Accessory power on port on the amp?
