  • Front door speaker, kappa infinity?

Hey guys, I have done some modifications to the sound system in my 98 firebird convertible including a trunk-mounted Kicker ZX700.5 amp, Alpine R-10 in a pass stealthbox, a jvc aftermarket HU, and kicker 6.5's in the rear sail panels. I have some old 6.5's in my front panels right now and was looking to upgrade for a little bit more sound from the front while the top is down. I have heard Kappa Inifinity 6.1 components are excellent for this position but I had a couple questions.

I have a speaker wire running to my 5-channel amp in the back which I will be using for the connection, but I noticed there is a crossover that needs to be mounted as well. Should this be mounted near the speaker (in the door panel) and where will it fit? Is the tweeter able to be mounted in the stock location?

Any tips or bits of advice are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I have my Kicker tweeters mounted and covered over where the door/window switches were at, since it was just a blank plate I turned it into my front tweeter location. Its a great spot for tweeters. Unless you have power locks and windows.LOL You can wire as many speakers as you want, just have to be aware of how many OHMS are going to each channel of your amp.
