Double din for my 1996 Camaro

Got stuck on doing other stuff on the Camaro. Trying to get the passenger seat out to rerun the exhaust cutout harness , can’t seem to get to the back nuts. Might just let the shop do it when they straighten the TQ arm.

Cousin came up helped me get the passenger seat out, damm back nuts with aftermarket Corbuea seats was a pain. Depending on how hot this week is hopefully get to the cutout harness and get it rerouted, then I’ll get to the double din.

Nice! Sometimes moving the seats forward and backwards can help give you a little better access to those nuts!

Yeah I have the Corbuea seats with Sparco seat brackets , so not stock. You can have them all the way forward and still a pain. I’ll have to get them back on after I’m finished. It’s going to be a pain. Might wait until he comes back up.lol

Got my wiring done and seat back in will start the double din install finally this week .

I’ll try , always get caught up in the moment and forget to take pics. My mom has been sick all week so haven’t had time to start. Hopefully tomorrow.

Got the brackets on the unit, probably will have to adjust them for fit. All goes well will cut the bottom section out tomorrow and get installed so far the directions have been great.

Looks pretty easy to do, just need to cut the bottom section off and it’s done. Lost my cutting bit for the electric hand saw so ordered some should be here in a few days. Might try a hand saw tomorrow, here’s how it looks.

Got one side done a with a hand saw , pretty tough , my electric should cut It like butter if I had a blade. I’ll post pics of what I cutout.

Got the piece out with a dremel , just moved the center piece out of the way and got it underneath. Now ready to test fit the double din. Here’s some pics.
