So you have to remove/install the cover every time you get in/out of the car?

No,..it is screwed on top..it has two holes cut out of it for the subs and covered in carpet... I didnt want the subs to be visible and thes was my solution since i use my t-top well for the tops.

Here is the thread that I posted about it with more pics..

Thats a good idea to hide the subs, however i think it would still be obvious what is in that box when you see the speaker wire coming out the side. I wanna get a box that sits in the ttop well like subthumps, and I may use your idea and make a cover for it like that. I think i would use the mesh like material that they put over home speakers though instead of carpet. Since im on that subject, does the carpet seem to block any of the sound or is it thin enough to not have any effect?

            Re: Loudest Stereos

Theres really no need to cover the subs if you get the Subthump T-top box or Well enclosure, because it is barely visible through the rear window. I have my amp sitting under the rear window, with 5% tint on the window. So far no problems, but theres still always a chance. No matter how well you hide your system, if someone wants it bad enough they'll get it.

yea, but being on a college campus i dont really want to take any chances... most of my friends with systems at school have a switch for their amp that they can turn off so that no one knows they have a system, they just flip it on for when their at home or not so close to campus... lots of cars get broken into because people hear which cars have nice systems and then get those...

Thats just being smart. I turn mine down when I get close to my apartment or my college campus. And my college is pretty shady, its a community college...

Thats why im hesitant to get a system, none of my windows are tinted so people could see right in. I'm thinking of getting a 10" and amp and putting it underneath that flip over thing in the hatch. The hatch seal used to leak when it rained very hard, couple weeks ago i noticed part of the back panel was on top of the seal, maybe that caused the leak but not sure.

Do the subs sound good even though theyre in that area below the flip over thing, i rather not put subs right behind the seats

                              edit.. like this guy
