    im about to wire up my car for some sub action, and i was wondering since there is stock amps if there is anything special to bypass? i wired up a ford explorer and it had one so nothing worked. i have a aftermarket dvd player so just wondering if there is anything special i need to do. i am leaving the stock sub

    96 camaro rs with bose system

    also, how bad of an idea would it be to directly wire the speakers to the dvd player?

    Well we don't know what DVD player you have..... are we talking an indash flip-out LCD? If so, hooking up the amp is obviously an easy RCA connection. More info needed. A little confusing now.
