      Re: My sub box

Looks good! I'm counting on my rear seat to cover up most of my wiring too ;)

I bet it sounds alright too. I should finally have time to carpet mine this weekend.

My box could do 3 accross, starts running out of airspace though. I like the look!

Here is the (most likely) final installation of this box, carpeted and everything!

                        Re: My sub box

Alright, I feel dumb. The sound quality was sorely lacking, and I was blaming it on old/crappy subs and tiny amp.

Do you know what happens when 2 subs share and airspace and are 180 degrees out of phase with each other?

Yeah, a lot of movement, and not much noise. Somehow I had wired the passenger side sub backwards :slap:

So feel free to point and laugh.

But now, gawdayum does it bump :)

                          Re: My sub box

That looks great. And I know a way to dress them up. There is a member of another forum, gaownersclub.com. He makes custom sub covers out of aluminum. I ordered on from him for my Fiero with the Pontiac logo on it. If your interested I can get you the link.

                            Re: My sub box

Sub cover? You mean a grill, or a solid cover?

Grills can be handy, especially if the sub is where it could get hit. Linkage would be cool so I can check it out.
