Who's heard of these? Surprisingly I have never heard of them nor seen them.

I have a single cab truck and want more performance from my sound system without resorting to box/amp/subs taking up the little room I have behind the seat.

    Ebay sells quit a few

    Aura- Never heard of em

    Woon- Never heard of em

but from the description they sound pretty bassy...

    Input?

Not sure if you know this... I take it you don't from your choice of words .... but they do not produce any bass. They are simply a rumble pack. Just like on a PS2 controller or one of the "gamer" chairs. Also, they need to be powered by an amp. Nothing serious. 25-50WRMS for most of them. And they must be mounted securly to the underside of the vehicles seat. Mounting them to plywood may be in order if there is nothing solid under the seat to mount them too. The more solid the mount, the more vibrations will be transfered through the seat. This is suppose to give the illusion of more bass. I've personally never owned a set, but I've heard mixed reviews. Once people learn that they must spend $50-$75/pair, run signal wires to them, usually use a small amp to power them fully, and mount them super securely.... they usually say screw it and find a spot for an extra sub or something.

      Re: Bass Shakers

Im not looking for a crazy set of subs, ive got a single cab truck with extremely limited space and would actually prefer to steer away from the sub encloser behind / under the seat.

Im really just looking to boost the performance to sound good, nothing like spl.

I am getting ready to replace the interior speakers with the MB Quart that I picked up just recently, and my Pioneer In-dash dvd player once I get a dash kit and wire harness.

So instead of going with a tube, im looking for alternative options and I just crossed the path of these bass shakers, thinking...possibly?

Again, these do not produce any bass. And they are not going to compliment/fill in any low end you're gonna get out of the MB Quarts. They cannot take the place of a subwoofer.

Their purpose is to shake. They give the allusion of feeling bass, but very little sound is actually produced. I actually think they're pretty stupid.

Exactly. Because some listeners may think the sub(s) you DO have are louder than they actually are because it's vibrating their seat. They are designed to compliment your exsisting subs, but not replace them. Maybe a way to make one 10" sound like one 12".... or along those lines.
