ok, so in my car, been happening quite a while. my dvd player will quickly shut off and come back on, audio will go for anywhere from a second to a few minutes, video always comes back after audio. whenever it shuts off or comes back on, there is a click coming from the passanger side of the car near the dash im thinking. there is a certain click for on and a click for off, any ideas what this could be?

Sounds like your BCM is going bad. (body control module)
Its located on the passenger side under the dash.. There is a cheap fix for it instead of replacing it.
Do a search on BCM, its been discussed a few times and will tell you how to fix it.
