  • Mtx thunder 600w stealth?

Okay just bought these now for my audio system today. What do you guys think about the mtx thunder 600w for the stealth box. Will I be impressed with this. Good power of bass???? How hard is the install if I was to install these myself?

Then you will also need a line output converter. This will take speaker lead inputs and turn them into RCA connections that your amp will accept.

is there going to be a problem considering he's got a 600w sub but only a 500watt amp? or does that not matter?

The sub and amp are both rated at 300 watts rms, the 600 and 500 watt numbers are just peak power which are rarely reached.

neato, so you dont want your amp rms above your sub rms?? or is it the other way around?

RMS power is only reached if your listening at high volume levels anyway, but you don't want your amps RMS rating to be above your subs RMS rating. That's what leads to your sub getting blown. You can run a 1500W rms sub on a 100W rms amp, and never have to worry about a thing. You just wouldn't be pushing the sub to it's potential.

I wouldn't have gone with the MTX sub, and I don't know much about bazooka, but I know what the stealth enclosures are capable of. What are you looking for out of the setup? btw, the install is easy, just a few wires and screws.

Out of personal preference, I just stay away from MTX altogether. My dad has an MTX amp powering an MTX sub and it sounds bad. It could be the amp, it could be the sub, or it could be the box, but I still stay away after hearing it.

MTX is known to be a decent brand, nothing special, but not terrible. I'm sure your setup will be decent, it's just not what I would have chosen.
