    Well in my dads case, he was looking for the same thing, and it didn't come close to accomplishing that task, but it was a very different application and I suspect there are problems beyond the amp/sub because it sounds terrible.

      Oh ok, maybe it was the connections but i dont know...lol

        Either of those LOC should work fine. Pretty simple to use.

        People put far too much stock into power ratings. SOOO many other factors come into play to determine when/if your sub/amp will fail from a power prospective. So long as actual power is somewhere in the same ballpark, you're fine.
