We need to be sure those subwoofers are indeed dual 4 ohm subwoofers. (They are offered in dual 2 as well) If you'll note in this item: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1140392384210
it is listed as "Dual voice coil 8 ohm", however they are dual 4 ohm. So take Best Buy's word with a grain of salt. Go there and see the box for yourself.
If they are dual 4 ohm, you can wire them in a parallel/parallel configuration for a final load of 1 ohm on the amp.
I KNOW THAT!!!!!!!:slap: You're not reading my words. I clearly linked to the Infinity's to show an example of how Best Buy can misrepresent the impedance of the voice coils. It is possible that the Type-Rs are labeled as "Dual voice coil 4 ohm" when, infact, they may not be. And that is a total and complete deal breaker. This is not something small that you can just overlook. If you buy them are they turn out to be dual 2 ohm, you will want to buy a different amp.
I'm trying to save you money and headaches. If you're not going to listen, then I'm going to stop helping. I've designed/installed literally well over 2,000 systems professionally. This isn't my first rodeo.
Buy the dual 4 ohm Type-Rs and the Hifonics amp I linked to. This is a great match up for your price range. Kicker does not currently produce an amp that is rated 1 ohm stable. If you attempt to run them at 1 ohm anyway, the amp will overheat and kick into thermal protection. Why shoot yourself in the foot?

im not trying to be an ******* even though it may look like it...im just reallllllllly reatarded when it comes to this stuff....i really appreciate your time and help and will look in to the hifonics brutus amp
im running a $180 power acoustik 1920-2 with a pair of dual 4 ohm type Rs. one sub per channel on a 2 ohm load. ive heard louder, but for the money ive got in it... it friggin bumps!
not to mention its very stable, and has yet to make the smells that it did when i had the type Ss in there :D
foggy headlights? wetsand... buff... WAX!!! if nissan motorsports is nismo does that mean honda motorsports is homo?
from what i understand the zeus is the best hifonics amp. i had a 600 watt zeus and ill tell ya, it pushed more than 600 watts.
mine bumps great for 2 10s, and when i say ive heard louder its coming from guys running 4 12s or 15s on 4 or 6 amps. so long as you match your amp to the speakers youll make plenty of noise. theres plenty of amps out there that will work with your subs just fine. if you want to go fancy spend a lil more and go with an alpine amp...

i just want an amp that will push my subs to full potenital....if the brutus can do that..im buying..but if theres anything better for a little more im willing to pay
id go with that brutus and wire it up like the diagram 96firebird311 posted. spending a little more money probably isnt going to be worth it at this point.
btw ive got a white camaro too. we needs us a club :D

The alpine amps are very nice, i bought the mrv1005 and it lets you monitor everything, including voltage the amps seeing, amp temp, and if you have an alpine deck, you can control your amp from your cd player. I like it just wish i would have went a little bit bigger watt wise.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
